Once again, ABD International proudly supported KemKlicks, LLC, as a partner, for the “Going Global Business Network for women and minorities” conference. The event focused on Going Global to China for the year of 2019. Sue Cheng, president of ABD, was the Keynote speaker for the event. What a great successful forum we had!

To give back to the community and support Sino-US business development and culture exchange, ABD International proudly supported the “Going Global Business Network” conference hosted by KemKlicks LLC on April 14th, 2018
There were five speakers with diverse backgrounds on the panel discussion.

Chester County Commissioner Terence Farrell introduced the Chester County China Initiative that the county started in 2013, together with ABD International, LLC, MLCCC, CCEDC, CCCBI and others.
Chester County Commissioner Michelle H. Kichline talked about the county’s “Venture Chesco” fund that encourages development of start-ups companies in Chester County
President of ABD International, Sue Cheng gave a brief introduction about doing business in China and cultural awareness.
MLCCC (Main Line Chinese Culture Center) Children’s Dance Group presented a beautiful dance “Flowers in the Rain”
The event has received enormous positive responses and people are already asking when the next Going Global Business Networking is going to be. To continue the effort, ABD has started working with KemKlicks for the next conference. It would most likely be in Fall of 2018.

Exchange Summit (at Chester County)
Mission: The mission of the Summit is to facilitate economic cooperation and culture exchange between two countries and in particular, between Chester County and the districts of Chongqing and Chengdu, areas of focus for China’s current economic development. The Summit will provide a foundation for building a long lasting trade and culture exchange channel between these two regions.
Background: Chongqing is one of four special districts in China (in addition to Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin). It hosts the third economic development zone and was granted the same status as the legendary economic development zones in Shenzhen and Shanghai. The world renowned company FOXCOM, manufacturer of iPhone, recently opened a factory in Chongqing as are many other world class companies, including over 200 of the Fortune 500 companies.
Chongqing, together with Chengdu and other regions, can provide great opportunities for businesses in Chester County to introduce their products and services. A closer tie between the greater Philadelphia region and Chongqing and Chengdu’s districts can bring numerous and
unique opportunities.
The Summit: The Summit invitees include key decision makers from both Chongqing and Chengdu’s governments and private companies that are relevant to Chester companies and economy. Additionally, all of Chester County’s businesses will be invited and encouraged to participate in the Summit to learn about the opportunities. The format of the Summit will be developed with special emphasis on enhancing mutual understanding of the cultures and business processes, as well as facilitating business interactions and transactions. There will also be workshops, company showcases and company match makings. Chester County companies and institutions in healthcare, IT, agricultural, education and others will be topics of high interest for the representatives from China. Currently, the targeted date for the Summit is late fall 2013.

The Summit hosts ABD International and Main Line Chinese Culture Center (MLCCC) met with Summit sponsors Chester County commissioner and Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) to discuss the Summit preparation

At the board meeting of the CCEDC, Sue Cheng, President of ABD International and Jun Huangpu, Chairman of MLCCC discussed hosting of the first Sino-American Regional Economic Development and Culture Exchange Summit with CCDEC board members Chester County commissioner Terence Farrell and Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) Board Director Bill Bogle at CCEDC headquarters in Eagleview, PA on March 8, 2013. During the meeting all parties agreed on the importance of the Summit and decided to form a working group to steer the preparation of the Summit.
